Continuing Love Baton Rouge

‘Tis the season…for giving back! Our Share the Love event has been in full force since the beginning of November. While this is going until January 4th, this time of year is also great for the Subaru Loves to Care event. Do you want to do your own part this year or see what Subaru of Baton Rouge is up to? What Subaru of Baton Rouge Has Done

Every year, Subaru of Baton Rouge takes part in a variety of events to give back on both a community and national level. This year is no different, despite what’s going on in the world. Our dealership is continuing to do our part by helping out the St. Vincent de Paul Bishop Ott Sweet Dreams Shelter. We recently donated over 80 blankets on the 16th of November. Our team was overjoyed to see the members of the shelter looking excited to receive these blankets for the upcoming winter. With the cold weather dropping, we’re more than happy to provide a helping hand.

How Has Subaru Done Their Part?

Blankets may not seem important to some. But to others, they’re the difference between a cold night and a good night’s sleep. Subaru of America has made the decision to donate over 50,000 blankets to homeless shelters all across the country in November. This decision alone, which was made in recognition of National Homeless Youth Awareness Month, has helped nearly 600 local homeless shelters.

“As we head into the season of giving and the nights get colder, we wanted to do our part to provide warmth and solace for those who need our help this winter,” said Thomas J. Doll, President and CEO, Subaru of America, Inc. “Subaru believes in being more than a car company for the communities where we live and work, and donating blankets is just one piece of our commitment to helping those in need.”
